The Boeing Technology Innovation team is seeking multiple skilled
Equipment and Tool Engineer (Mid-Level, Lead, or Senior)
to join our growing teams in either
Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA.
As a Equipment and Tool Engineer, you will lead cross-functional teams and suppliers to identify, specify, procure, and qualify state-of-the-art composite fabrication equipment and tooling. Your decisions early in development will influence producibility, throughput, and long-term program success for future Boeing products.
Position Responsibilities:
Define requirements for composite fabrication equipment, tooling, and automation Develop, review, and validate tooling and equipment concepts to meet performance requirements Collaborate with manufacturing technology, production engineering, quality, and suppliers to source and evaluate candidate equipment and tooling solutions Develop technical specifications, evaluation criteria, and supplier procurement packages Lead supplier engagement: RFIs/RFPs, vendor assessments, technical contract management, installation, and acceptance testing Support tooling and equipment integration, commissioning, and qualification in prototype and demonstration builds Establish maintenance, calibration, and readiness plans for tooling and equipment used in demonstrator production Generate technical documentation: equipment specifications, installation drawings, test plans, and as-built records Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience specifying, procuring, or qualifying industrial manufacturing equipment or tooling Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers, lead technical evaluations, and manage equipment procurements Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience developing, manufacturing, procuring, installing, operating, or maintaining composite manufacturing equipment and tooling Experience with large-scale tooling or equipment design, fixture validation, and tolerance control for aerospace structures Knowledge of producibility at rate, automation integration, and factory layout/ergonomics Relocation:

Summary pay range for Lead: $118,150.00 - $159,850.00
Summary pay range for Senior: $145,350.00 - $196,650.00
