Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and handle payments accurately per store procedures.
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Assist customers with purchases and answer questions about products and services.
- Follow bagging procedures and maintain a neat, organized front-end area.
- Adhere to cash handling, refund, and override procedures; maintain cash accuracy and security.
- Assist with merchandise stocking, price changes, and basic store duties as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a neat appearance in uniform and comply with dress code requirements.
- Follow company policies and participate in required training programs.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred; or willingness to learn.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn multiple tasks and operate cash handling systems and POS equipment.
- Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions and able to perform physical job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Basic computer skills and ability to read, write, and count accurately.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods; repeatedly use hands for cashiering and handling merchandise.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs continuously, 25 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally; push/pull up to 75 lbs on occasion.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move about the store to perform duties.
