We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care on the Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of nursing experience, be proficient in telemetry monitoring, and comfortable working nights with floating responsibilities as needed within the hospital. Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients on MS/Tele and Med/Surg units, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5 Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, identify and manage dysrhythmias Administer medications and drips as per protocols (Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, Lasix, Hypertonic Na+) Provide IV therapy, including starting IVs, blood product administration, and central/peripheral/PICC line care and management Manage chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen delivery devices (nasal cannula, masks, portable tanks) Assist with feeding tube care and management Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response/code teams Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic charting system (preferred) Follow isolation precautions and hospital protocols Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in rapid response and code teams Float as needed within specialty and lower acuity units without restrictions Adhere to hospital safety and compliance standards Requirements:
Active MD or Compact Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years nursing experience, preferably in Med/Surg or Telemetry Current BLS and ACLS certification required; CPI and NIHSS preferred Experience with cardiac telemetry, IV therapy, blood products, and line care Proficient with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation Comfortable working night shifts and floating within the hospital Ability to manage patients with cardiovascular, neurological, and gastrointestinal diagnoses Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Skills:
Experience with Epic electronic health record system Phlebotomy and IV therapy skills Knowledge of managing cardiac drips and heparin protocols Additional Information:
Weekends every other weekend required Floating required within the specialty and lower acuity units Orientation: 24 hours (non-billable) Facility follows strict flu vaccine policy (required) COVID-19 vaccine not required About HonorVet Technologies
