Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position requiring night shifts and strong ICU experience.
Responsibilities Work in the Critical Care Float Pool covering Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, and CVICU units Night shifts: three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Float to various ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity; may float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Shift flexibility required to meet unit needs Provide high-level patient care across multiple ICU specialties as part of a flexible float pool Prompt completion of Ohio fingerprinting process is required upon contract signing Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of consideration Current employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments at these locations Team structure varies by unit but includes collaboration with diverse critical care professionals
Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Proficiency with Epic EMR is required Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management is required Degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Previous travel nursing experience preferred Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, or director Former employees are eligible if away from the facility for at least 6 months
