Join a dynamic healthcare organization in the Pacific Northwest region as an Associate Buyer, playing a vital role in ensuring the seamless procurement and management of medical and operational supplies. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and Supervisor, you will oversee inventory levels, process supply requisitions, and maintain cost-effective purchasing practices using advanced ERP systems like Workday.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Procure approved formulary items through Workday requisition workflows and punchout integrations. Ensure compliance with group purchasing organization contracts, public policies, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to verify accurate coding, pricing, and timely payment of orders. Manage product returns, recalls, exchanges, and backorders, communicating updates to relevant teams. Anticipate supply needs and proactively notify management and internal customers of potential disruptions. Monitor changes to inventory locations and collaborate with departments during product conversions. Support inventory management alongside Inventory Control Specialists. Assist with freight check-in, department transfers, and stocking as needed. Maintain and update ERP system data, including item master data and supply templates. Contribute to future ERP system enhancements and data conversions. Identify and recommend process improvements within supply chain workflows. Make informed decisions regarding supply shortages and recommend solutions based on data analysis. Lead tasks or projects as assigned and assist in policy development and refinement. Collaborate on vendor setup and account maintenance. Education and Experience

1-2 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables. Experience in healthcare or clinical settings is highly preferred. Associate's degree in business, supply chain, healthcare administration, or related field preferred. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification is a plus but not required. Skills and Abilities

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills across clinical and non-clinical teams. Familiarity with Workday or similar ERP systems. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in supply-sensitive environments.
