We are working with an established Plastics company based in
North Cincinnati, Ohio.
They are recruiting a
Process Engineer
to join their team on
Days (Monday – Friday)
in return for a salary in the region of
$85,000 - $100,000
along with excellent employment benefits.
The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, identifying and solving process-related issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using
Lean Manufacturing
and
Six Sigma
methodologies.
This role requires strong technical and analytical skills, hands-on troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive mindset to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and safety
Key Responsibilities as the Process Engineer include:
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality within the manufacturing environment.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
Analyze, monitor, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality and maximum efficiency.
Identify root causes of process problems through structured fault-finding and troubleshooting techniques.
Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements based on data-driven analysis.
Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve process issues in a timely manner.
Lead or support continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
Conduct time studies, process audits, and capability studies to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
Support new product trials and process scale-up initiatives.
Train operators and production staff on best practices and new procedures.
Ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Experience required:
Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills.
Solid understanding of
Lean Manufacturing
principles and
Six Sigma
methodologies (Green Belt or higher ).
Proficient in data analysis, statistical tools, and process control (SPC, FMEA, DOE, etc.).
Six Sigma Certification would be an advantage.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality systems in manufacturing.
