BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST HIGHLIGHTS:

This position does NOT require weekend, night, or holiday shift coverage.

This position does NOT require coverage for on-call shift rotation.

This position does NOT require assisting patients with ADLs (activities of daily living).

SUMMARY: The Behavior Specialist is responsible for conducting Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with patients within Rogers Behavioral Health Residential, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospital (PHP) and Acute Inpatient treatment programs as detailed. Behavior specialists train and work with the assigned Clinical Services Manager to design and implement CBT specific treatment plans for those with Anxiety & OCD Spectrum Disorders, Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders and Trauma-Related Disorders.

SCHEDULE:

Partial Hospitalization (PHP): Monday – Friday 8:00a - 4:30p

Intensive Outpatient (IOP): Monday – Friday 10:00a - 6:30p

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services, except medication administration, to patients, according to clinical standards of care and under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager or Director.

Participate in weekly supervision sessions with the Clinical Services Manager or Director and communicate with the Clinical Services Manager or Director on an ongoing basis regarding clinical issues.

Assure documentation of therapeutic treatment plans, outcome assessments, psychosocial information, and other patient care data is completed within the medical record.

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and complete treatment plan development.

Offer training support to other staff members less familiar with the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety, mood, eating, and trauma-related disorders.

Document mental health services according to applicable regulations and payer expectations.

Communicate with Utilization Review department to provide information necessary to assist in facilitating payment for services.

Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

Preferred experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Exposure-Based Therapy.

Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

You have a minimum 3 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial setting

You’re able to successfully complete a mechanical and electrical assessment

Thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes

You have general computer knowledge, including SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, databases and various manufacturing application

You can read complex electrical and mechanical schematics, blue prints and operating manuals

You enjoy trouble-shooting and working through complex puzzles

You’re an awesome team player with a strong work ethic

You’re 18 years old or older and have earned a high school diploma OR your GED

An Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred
