12 hours, nights Employment Type:
Travel Department: CVU. Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. - # of Beds: 18. - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:3 for post surgical patients in the first 24 hours. - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Patients who require intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients. Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart. Cath Lab, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR and any other cardiac and vascular related diagnosis. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year of experience with this patient population. - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes. - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management.
