Position Summary
The Safety Services Dispatcher plays a vital role in the operational effectiveness and situational awareness of Gateway Church's Security Department. Serving as a centralized hub for communication, surveillance, and incident coordination, this position supports all Gateway campuses through real-time monitoring, dispatching, and communication with Gateway staff, Security Officers, volunteers, law enforcement agencies, members and guests of Gateway Church. The Dispatch team is responsible for managing incoming calls, social media alerts, security systems, investigations, and information flow to ensure a safe and secure environment for the church's mission to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
Incident & Investigation Support
Use investigative tools, OSINT, and security systems to support ongoing or emergent investigations. Maintain accurate databases of operational and existential threats. Keep and audit incident logs, calls for service, and officer-submitted reports. Maintain the database of Persons of Interest and disseminate updates as necessary. Participate in investigations and assist in resolving sensitive or complex security matters. Data & Reporting
Generate regular reports summarizing major incidents and events. Maintain digital documentation for access control, incidents, key tracking, and system audits. Input and manage data entries in security databases, minimizing errors and maintaining timely updates. Systems Oversight
Monitor and manage access control, camera systems (VMS), alarm panels, and automatic door schedules. Administer security infrastructure including key/fob issuance, access requests, and alarm permissions. Coordinate emergency shelter-in-place protocols during severe weather or other critical events. Perform remote camera diagnostics and incident footage retrieval, bookmarking and exporting files as needed. Conduct routine audits of Security Infrastructure systems. Communicate inclement weather alerts to campuses and guide preparations. Liaise with security contractors and ensure they are updated on post expectations. Ensure campus staffing coverage when church personnel are present. Assist with onboarding support including background checks for volunteers and new hires. Support officer training by providing information, context, and operational orientation. Dispatch & Communication
Answer and prioritize incoming calls from staff, guests, and agencies regarding both emergency and non-emergency incidents. Dispatch appropriate officers or emergency responders based on the situation. Serve as the communications liaison between campuses and Gateway Security leadership. Transmit and receive messages via radio and digital platforms, ensuring proper radio protocol and communication clarity. Maintain ongoing communication with On-Call Officers and campuses at the beginning and end of each shift. Other Duties
Respond to lost item requests and communicate with on-site officers to resolve them. Support daily communication, shift transitions, and general operations as assigned. Perform other duties or special projects as directed by leadership. Qualifications
2+ years in security, emergency communications, dispatch, or a related administrative/technical role. Familiarity with law enforcement protocols, emergency response, and surveillance tools preferred. Strong communication skills-both verbal and written-with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Technologically proficient in surveillance systems, access control, and software tools. Experience with investigative methods, reporting, and incident documentation. Highly organized and dependable, with a calm and focused demeanor under pressure. Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ministry values. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in church security or a ministry environment. Knowledge of security platforms such as, VMS systems, Access Control, and church operations tools. Experience administering alarm and HVAC systems. Understanding of open-source intelligence and related tools.
