SUMMARY
The Shipping Agent helps to maintain an efficient supply chain by preparing shipments, processing and packaging deliverable hardware, and ensuring on-time deliveries. This position interacts frequently with engineers, machinists, vendors and customers in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Coordinates shipments by preparing and processing shipping requests Ensures all shipments are accurate, verified and correctly documented Arranges shipments with carriers, obtains required approvals, prepares and packages shipments, updates shipment status daily Works closely with the Quality team to obtain proper documentation as needed Coordinates daily with national carriers, freight and local couriers for all deliveries and pick-up and drop-off schedules Interacts with customers and vendors to confirm and obtain appropriate documentation and approvals Works with engineering staff to ensure proper and safe hardware packaging Packages, wraps, band and palletizes shipments as needed, helps to ensure organization of shipping area and supplies Assists with other Warehouse departments when needed Drives company vehicles as needed WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Must be a U.S. Citizen Required Education: High School Diploma Strong computer skills (MS Office and Outlook) Epicor ERP experience a plus Must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Must hold or be able to obtain Hazardous Materials Endorsement on CDL Must hold or be able to obtain certifications for Dangerous Goods shipping and handling Experience in office administration, warehouse or supply chain roles preferred Fork lift certification and experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, organize tasks and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced environment This position requires the frequent use of stairs, and lifting objects up to 75lbs
