Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is a key role in the product development process and is responsible for ensuring producibility of products and robustness of process throughout the product lifecycle. Key involvement includes design for manufacturability early in the product development, ensuring intrinsic quality is built-in to the product through robustness of processes and supporting continuous improvement and maintenance throughout the production cycle. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for establishing how internal processes are developed and validated including ERP (Epicor) implementation. Includes Manufacturing Engineering I, II and III duties and responsibilities Integral part of product design team leading DFMA aspects of product design Applies broad knowledge of manufacturing knowledge of principles and practices Mentors junior manufacturing engineers Is subject matter expert on DFMA as well and statistical process controls for monitoring process robustness Oversees material and resource planning and coordination to ensure schedules are kept Responsible for manufacturing work flow planning, resource planning and production line capacity in conjunction with planned forecasts Responsible for solving complex technical problems in timely fashion utilizing necessary resources to keep product design, development and production moving forward Oversees process qualification along with product qualification What We Are Looking For

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree Minimum 6 years relevant industry experience Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude required and hands-on engineering experience in a fabrication and assembly shop environment Ability to read and generate blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams Familiarity with basic material properties, in process verification and validation Must be proficient in GD&T Must be a U.S. Equal Opportunity Employer
