Brown & Brown's Risk Solutions team is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Leader in either Boardman, OH or Atlanta, GA to lead high-volume accounting operations with a focus on efficiency, oversight, and strategic process improvement. This is not a traditional reporting-heavy accounting role—our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a shared services mindset to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, billing, and fixed assets.
- Oversee assigned month-end processes and ensure timely completion.
- Review and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure internal controls are designed, implemented, and operating effectively.
- Provide financial analysis and communicate key metrics to senior leadership.
- Support system maintenance and reporting requirements.
- Coach and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA designation preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in high-volume or complex environments.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and operational accounting.
- Experience in a shared service model is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in electronic accounting systems.
- Proven leadership and analytical skills.

Pay Range
110000 - 140000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
