Pay Rate : $28 - $31 per hour

About the Role :

We're looking for an experienced Accountant II to support daily accounting operations for a financial institution. This role focuses on general ledger accuracy, complex account reconciliations, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash management, and month-end close support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex AP tasks: vendor invoices, coding, W9 compliance, payment processing.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage fixed assets and pre-paid accounting records.
• Oversee daily liquidity and wire transfers (domestic / international).
• Support month-end closing entries and assist during audits / exams.
• Ensure compliance with BSA / AML / OFAC regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or 8+ years related experience in lieu of degree).
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial institution or credit union.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and banking operations.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Symitar or other core accounting systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and communication skills.
