About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting functions, month-end close, budgeting, and compliance activities. Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconcile accounts, and review journal entries.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis while providing financial insights to leadership.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate and support external and internal audits, preparing schedules and workpapers.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and fixed asset processes.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to explain financial results and implications.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred (or in progress).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including exposure to audits and financial statement preparation.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with month-end close.
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• High proficiency with Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Nice to Have

• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or grant-funded environments.
• Familiarity with cost allocation or fund accounting.
