Accounting Manager
to oversee core accounting functions, month-end close, budgeting, and compliance activities. This is a great opportunity to join a mission-driven organization and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational excellence. Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Oversee general ledger activity, reconcile accounts, and review journal entries. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis while providing financial insights to leadership. Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures. Coordinate and support external and internal audits, preparing schedules and workpapers. Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and fixed asset processes. Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting. Collaborate with operational leaders to explain financial results and implications. Mentor and support junior accounting staff. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred (or in progress). 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including exposure to audits and financial statement preparation. Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with month-end close. Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. High proficiency with Excel and accounting systems. Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Nice to Have
Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or grant-funded environments. Familiarity with cost allocation or fund accounting. Compensation & Benefits
