Do you enjoy being part of the action behind the scenes? Join our team and help bring some of the biggest events on campus to life!
As a
Maintenance Assistant , you'll work alongside the Maintenance Crew Leader to set up and tear down a wide range of events-everything from basketball and volleyball games to concerts, conferences, banquets, and graduations with up to 4,000 guests. No two days are the same-you might be installing a portable basketball floor one day, setting up staging for a concert the next, or preparing the Joyce Center for a high-profile reception.
In addition to event support, you'll also put your hands-on skills to work with carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, flooring, and furniture repairs across athletic facilities. You'll even get to operate equipment such as forklifts while helping create seamless event experiences for our community.
If you like working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, variety, and problem-solving are part of every day, this is the role for you!
What You'll Do: Assist with set-up and tear-down for sporting events, concerts, graduations, conferences, and more. Operate equipment such as forklifts to move staging, flooring, and platforms. Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across athletic facilities. Collaborate with the crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality event experiences. Qualifications
Education Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Experience: 1 to 2 years A valid driver's license required. Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., climb & perform work on step & extension ladders and work on feet 100% of the time each day. General knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills required as well as working knowledge of hand and power tools is a necessity.

Hourly Rate: Up to $20.00/hour ($41,600 if work 2080 (40 hours/week) hours per year)
