Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Technician "C" to join our Facility and Maintenance team at the University of Notre Dame. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations of various mechanical and electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and HVAC system issues
Execute repairs on various industrial equipment and building systems
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Install and modify equipment and systems as needed
Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance projects
Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and parts
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
Must have experience with the following
Preventive Maintenance
Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical Background
Controls, Pneumatics, Electronics
Must possess the following special knowledge, abilities or skills
Building HVAC systems, controls and associated equipment knowledge
Pneumatic/electronic controls, electrical equipment and mechanical equipment operation troubleshooting and repair
Computer literacy to allow for interface with Work Order Systems
Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal
Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
Additional Information
Hiring Pay Range : Up to $22/hr | Commensurate with experience
