Compensation: Salary ranging from $85,000 to $115,000per year with a annual performance bonus ranging from 10% to 15% based on experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems (HVAC, boilers, piping, etc.) in commercial and industrial projects.
· Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive MEP estimates.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details.
· Perform quantity take-offs and develop pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
· Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and completeness.
· Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide technical input during the bidding process.
· Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing.
· Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
· Ensure estimates align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education & Experience:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field .
· Equivalent experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.
· Additional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or LEED Accreditation are a plus.
Experience:
· 5–10 years of experience in MEP estimating, with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems including HVAC and boiler systems.
· Proven track record of estimating commercial and industrial construction projects.
· Experience working with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
· Familiarity with local building codes, industry standards, and construction practices in Massachusetts or the New England region.
Physical Requirements:
· Physical stamina and the ability to work in a demanding environment (including standing, climbing, and lifting heavy objects, up to 50 lbs at a time).
· Ability to work in confined spaces
