Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Material Handler to join our team. This role involves managing inventory, handling shipments, and ensuring the accuracy of orders. You will play a crucial part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Download and manipulate Excel spreadsheets from SAP.
Participate in continuous inventory cycle counts and yearly physical inventory as needed.
Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments for verification purposes.
Unload trucks for inbound shipments, ensuring material is received in satisfactory condition.
Load trucks for outbound shipments, ensuring they are stacked properly to prevent damage.
Pick and pack contents for domestic and international orders, ensuring contents are accurate.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years experience performing cycle counting.
Minimum of 3 years operating a forklift and material handling equipment.
Minimum of 3 years using an RF/Scanner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Working knowledge of packaging methods and ability to determine packaging requirements.
Ability to follow standard work instructions, be reliable and punctual.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of spreadsheets for cycle counting responsibilities.
Capable of understanding weights and measures.
Work Environment
This position operates on the 1st shift, from 8 am to 5 pm, with an hour lunch break. The work environment is a warehouse setting, requiring steel-toed boots. It may get hot in the summer due to the presence of large fans.
