About the Role
We are seeking a
Maintenance Engineer - I (Assistant)
to support our manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong background in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as proven expertise in safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications/Education (minimum requirement):
High School Diploma +
7 years
of manufacturing experience
OR
Associate’s Degree +
4 years
of manufacturing experience
OR
Bachelor’s Degree +
2 years
of manufacturing experience
Certifications:
OSHA 10 / OSHA 30
NFPA 70E
Arc Flash Training
3rd Grade Boiler License
Required Skills
Demonstrated commitment to
safety leadership
Troubleshooting experience with
AC/DC drives, PLCs, and electrical controls
Strong understanding of
motor controls, programmable logic, and I/O systems
Proficiency with
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with
SAP maintenance systems

Ability to
read and interpret blueprints, machine, electrical, and facility drawings
Knowledge of
NFPA 70/70E, NEC standards, and electrical circuits
(AC, DC, 480V distribution)
Advanced troubleshooting of
hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems
Hands-on skills using test equipment (amp meter, megger, etc.)
Experience with
motors, drives, and sensors
Familiarity with
CMMS and control systems
Strong
problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making
skills
Knowledge of
TPM/Lean manufacturing practices
Responsibilities
Respond to and assist with
repair of utilities and production equipment
Troubleshoot failed
electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
using advanced diagnostic tools
Perform
preventive maintenance , inspections, calibration, overhauls, and lubrication per OEM/engineering standards
Complete
corrective maintenance repairs
to support safety, quality, and reliability
Use
machine shop tools
(mills, lathes, drill press, welding) for fabrication tasks
Document work orders and maintenance activities in
SAP/CMMS
Train operators in
autonomous maintenance
(basic inspection & upkeep)
Participate in
continuous improvement initiatives (TPM/Lean)
Work effectively in a
team-oriented, collaborative environment
Schedule & Work Conditions
Standard shift:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Must be flexible for
weekends, 10-12 hour shifts, and overtime
as needed
