Job Summary
Our Dock & Door Technicians, a.k.a. “Service Professionals,” are central to preventative and emergency response services. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues on the road, visiting sites such as commercial buildings, aircraft hangars, schools, and public safety facilities, and performing a range of repairs from small tasks to major projects. The role provides unique exposure to large operations and emphasizes safety and efficiency.

Room for Growth
Miner offers four levels of Service Professionals to align with skills and growth goals.
- Apprentice Level (Level I) – candidates who are passionate about learning; mechanical aptitude and the ability to fix various products are essential.
- Service Professional Level (Level II) – typically 1+ year in a related field with basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting; strong customer communication in the field.
- Senior Level (Level III) – experience in basic repairs in AED, Highspeed, or gate fields with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting; typically 4 years of experience.
- Expert Level (Level IV) – master-level expertise in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, leadership, and extensive knowledge of dock leveler and door repairs; at least 8 years of experience.

What You’ll Do
Service Professionals provide hands-on customer care, troubleshoot, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment. They maintain work orders on paper and digitally, operate a vehicle to visit customer sites, and contribute to safety and OSHA compliance.
What We Look For
Qualified candidates who answer yes to our questions and possess the following:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience; execution quality and customer impact are prioritized.
- Ability to repair industrial facilities, including doors, loading docks, and dock-levelers.
- Desire to learn welding, steel fabrication, and electrical; hydraulic and pneumatics experience is a plus.
- Ability to take direction and work independently while traveling.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Technical school training and OEM certifications are desirable but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; overtime opportunities.
- Clean driving record and a valid Driver’s License for the state of employment.
