Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (Float Pool)

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience floating to Med/Surg, ICU, ER

License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse

Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - PALS - NIHSS

Must-Have: - Must be cross-trained for multiple units (Med/Surg, ICU, ER) - Must have a BSN - Must have critical care experience - Must be comfortable floating to various units

Description: This position requires the candidate to work 3x12 night shifts and every other weekend and holiday rotations, with 2 optional shifts per 4 weeks.

The role demands being cross-trained for multiple units, including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER, and having a Bachelor of Science in Nursing along with critical care experience.

ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required through an approved system during clinical orientation.

Basic Coronary Care certification must be completed within six months of hire.

CPI certification is to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion is essential.

The candidate must deal with people in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling is crucial.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.

Computer literacy is important, with experience in Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records preferred.

The individual must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for all patient groups.

This includes understanding the principles of growth and development throughout the lifespan.

The candidate must possess the ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information to identify each patient's requirements.

Care should be delivered according to the age-specific needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups.
