Job Description Job Title: Level 2 Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required
Must-Have: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to deal with others in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Computer literacy preferred, with experience in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
Description: The position requires availability for holiday scheduling on a part-time basis. The role includes working two 12-hour shifts per week. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS is required through the designated system during clinical orientation. Basic Coronary Care certification is required within six months of hire. CPI certification is required within 90 days of hire. Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association is recommended within two years of hire. TNCC certification is recommended within two years of hire. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population served. They must understand the principles of growth and development across the lifespan. The individual will assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify care requirements relative to age-specific needs. Providing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups is essential. Work behavior must ensure safety, promote dignity, respect, and well-being, and exemplify healthy relationships.
