We are looking for a freelance Quality Assurance Associate for a top jewelry company at their NYC offices! The Company is a rapidly growing, female-founded fine jewelry company, specializing in custom engagement rings and fine jewelry. They are seeking a freelance Quality Assurance Associate to join their team! The ideal candidate should have a passion for product and craftsmanship. This position will be responsible for conducting inspections on incoming production and actively contributing to enhancing overall quality by efficiently identifying underlying causes of issues and working closely with Product Development to resolve them.

Responsibilities: Conduct detailed quality inspections for Bridal and Fine Jewelry to ensure all products meet the Company's quality standards. Inspect diamonds and gemstones for alignment with product specifications. Identify and record quality-related data of any defects and communicate defects to the Product Development team. Conduct quality checks on existing inventory in response to internal concerns or customer feedback. Review and validate supplier quality inspection submissions and product detail decks for all inbound shipments. Document internal and external inspection results and enter data into the company database. Identify manufacturing defect trends; work with the Product Development team, recommending solutions and product improvements. Assess, report, and document supplier production and quality issues. Work closely with the Product Development team to understand and resolve technical challenges. Participate in virtual product quality reviews with cross-functional partners. Partner with Product Development to develop and continuously improve quality requirements and inspection guidelines for all jewelry products. Required Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, jewelry inspection, and repair are required. GIA Graduate Diamonds (GD) diploma or Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma is preferred but not required. Experience and understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, testing, and supply chain operations preferred. Knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, gold, platinum, and silver is preferred. Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite is required. Energy, confidence, and self-motivation. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting under tight deadlines with strong project and time management skills. Comfortable working autonomously. Eager to take on new challenges, introduce and implement new approaches and ideas, grow, test, and learn. A trusted, collaborative, and detail-oriented self-starter. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and composedly.
