Travel Sick Leave - 26 hours Paid Orientation - Paid Candidate must be able to work through the holidays, no guaranteed RTO on the three major holidays Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotational (3x12s) + 2 On Call shifts per 4 weeks. If taking 48-hour contract, no On Call required. ER D/N/W/Holiday rotation- 3x12s + 2 On Call shifts per 4 weeks BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI) Two years acute hospital experience as an RN One year ED hospital experience as an RN The Emergency Department Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The ED RN assesses patient need, identifies the urgent or emergent care priority, and collaboratively provides direct care, applies appropriate interventions, and evaluates patient progress. The ED RN evidences skill in the use of various invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions appropriate to manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations. The ED RN utilizes the principles of relationship based care to alieviate anxiety, provide information, and address pain/discomfort and safety. He/She assesses the physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients of all age groups, their families, and support systems as appropriate.
