Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator with 8-10 years of expertise in managing and optimizing large-scale Oracle environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance troubleshooting, Oracle GoldenGate replication, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). A solid foundation in Linux system administration and a passion for automation is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Proactively monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot performance issues in complex Oracle database environments (RAC and non-RAC). Implement performance tuning strategies at the database, SQL, and application level. Manage and administer Oracle GoldenGate replication for high-availability and cross-platform data integration. Maintain and optimize monitoring and alerting systems using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). Ensure database security, backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested. Perform upgrades, patching, and migration of Oracle databases across environments. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams to design scalable and resilient database solutions. Support Linux-based environments and develop automation scripts (Bash, Python, or Ansible) to improve operational efficiency. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications: 8-10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments. Expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting (AWR, ASH, SQL Tuning, wait events, etc.). Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate for replication and data migration. Solid experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and administration. Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting. Experience in automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible. Strong understanding of database security, backup/recovery strategies (RMAN), and disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard a plus). Good communication skills with ability to interact with developers, architects, and leadership teams.
Preferred Skills: Exposure to Oracle Cloud (OCI) or other cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD integration for database deployments. Experience with containerized database deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
