We are seeking an
experienced Oracle RAC Architect
to design, implement, and maintain high-availability database solutions using
Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) . The ideal candidate will lead complex database architecture initiatives, ensure scalability and resilience of mission-critical systems, and provide technical leadership to database teams. What You’ll Be Doing
Design and implement
Oracle RAC
and
Oracle Exadata
architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across multiple nodes and clusters. Develop technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and documentation for RAC implementations and migrations. Lead
capacity planning
and provide recommendations for hardware/software requirements. Establish best practices for RAC, Exadata administration,
backup/recovery , and
disaster recovery (DR) . Mentor and provide technical guidance to
DBAs
and development teams. Troubleshoot and resolve complex RAC-related issues; implement preventive measures. Create and maintain
automation scripts
for RAC deployment, maintenance, and monitoring. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
to align database architecture with business needs. Conduct
health checks
and performance tuning of RAC environments. Lead
database upgrades and migrations
ensuring minimal downtime. Who You Are
12 years
of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with at least
5 years
hands-on with Oracle RAC. Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
or equivalent advanced Oracle certifications. Expertise in
Oracle RAC 12c/19c/21c ,
Grid Infrastructure , and
ASM . Strong experience with
Oracle Data Guard ,
GoldenGate , and other HA solutions. Proven background in
performance tuning, backup & recovery, and DR planning . Advanced knowledge of
Linux/Unix OS
and
shell scripting (Bash, Python) . Experience with
automation tools
and Infrastructure-as-Code. Strong understanding of
storage, networking, and clustering technologies . Technical Expertise
Oracle RAC (12c/19c/21c) Grid Infrastructure & ASM Oracle Data Guard Oracle GoldenGate Oracle Exadata Linux/Unix Administration Shell Scripting (Bash, Python) SQL & PL/SQL Network & Storage Technologies Infrastructure Automation Tools Performance Monitoring & Tuning Tools Database Migration Tools (XTTS, GoldenGate, AWS DMS, SCT, Datapump, Backup/Restore) Preferred Skills
Experience with
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, OCI), specifically
AWS RAC migrations . Knowledge of
containerization & microservices . Familiarity with
monitoring tools
(Oracle Enterprise Manager, Prometheus, Grafana). Background in
Oracle Exadata or engineered systems . Experience with
database security & compliance . Exposure to
DevOps practices
and
CI/CD pipelines . Education
Bachelor’s degree
in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
