Trauma Surgical Unit - Med/Surg Telemetry Shift:
12-hour days (07:00 - 19:00) Hours per Week:
36 (option for 48 hours available) Guaranteed Hours:
36 per week Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1,720-$1,840 Dress Code:
Solid Navy Scrubs Parking:
On-site parking available EMR System:
Meditech Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; will consider RNs with at least 18 months of experience if 1 year is in Med/Surg Telemetry Willingness to float to other hospital units and facilities as needed Key RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care to trauma, surgical, orthopedic, and urology patients Work closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists to deliver individualized care Maintain a safe 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio for effective patient management Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR Adapt to floating assignments within the hospital system as required Uphold professional nursing standards and comply with hospital policies and procedures
