Position: Critical Intervention Specialist
Location: Fresno (includes the following counties: Fresno/Merced/Visalia and surrounding areas), In-Person/Onsite Required
Reports to: Program Director
Employment Status: Full-time, Exempt
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic support and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring physical and mental health disorders.
- Design comprehensive plans after getting to know the individuals served, addressing both immediate and long-term needs.
- Support individuals and their circle of support to maintain stability.
- Deliver prevention, acute and chronic crisis support, training and skill development, family and caregiver support, and Regional Center integration.
- Be a leader in innovative crisis services within CBEM.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Sociology, or other related psychological fields.
- Experience in the human services field required.
- Must have a California Driver’s license in good standing and insurance.
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability is a plus.
- Applicants who speak Spanish or have experience in indigenous cultures are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Given the requirements of the crisis response time, applicants must live in close proximity to or in the catchment area (which includes the following counties: Sutter, Yuba, Nevada, Sierra, Placer, El Dorado, Alpine).

Salary: $71,089 + opportunities for quarterly bonuses
