Insight Global is seeking an experienced Material Control Specialist for our client, a key partner in the pharmaceutical sector, based in Easthampton, MA. The Material Control Specialist performs a combination of tasks including but not limited to; shipping, receiving, filing paperwork, and inspecting orders accurately and in a timely manner; safely loads, unloads, and conveys materials. This person will also maintain the quality and quantity of stock and perform regular stock checks to adhere to assigned min/max levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Accurately controls and tracks physical inventory according to SOPs. • Ensures materials are stored safely and efficiently and that they are labeled and recorded correctly. • Issues purchase requisitions based on inventory levels. • Participates in inventory process and daily audits; researches and resolves inventory discrepancies. • Maintains and manages accurate records of quantity, type, and/or supplies stocked. • Receives, locates, and transfers materials accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with SOPs. • Inspects all incoming critical materials per associated procedures and requirements, processing all accompanying paperwork. • Identifies damaged products and follows appropriate process to quarantine/return items. • Orders stock parts internally or externally to meet minimum quantity requirements. • Transfers completed jobs from the material control location to shipping daily based on product ship date. • Maintains a safe, clean work environment. • Participates in quality improvement projects. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Experience - 2+ years of inventory management and/or material controls experience - Experience verifying incoming inventory - SmartSheets experience - Ability to reach blueprints - Able to lift up to 75 lbs - Acute attention to detail
Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Experience in the life science, medical device, pharmaceutical or similar industries - Ability to use measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauge pins. - Experience with MRP/ERP programs for inventory management
