Job Summary
Reporting to the Head Football Coach and Club Coordinator, this position will program Intramural sports such as basketball, flag football, soccer, softball, and volleyball. The role involves traveling with teams during tournaments, oversight of player recruitment for Intramural activities, and training students to officiate. Assist with overall development, promotion, supervision, implementation, and evaluation of the Intramural sports program.
Responsibilities
Program Area Duties
- Create leagues for all Intramural Sports.
- Maintain inventory for Intramural sport equipment for indoor and outdoor use.
- Create a maintenance/replacement plan for Intramural sport equipment.
- Develop relationships with vendors to enhance quality and services offered in Intramural Sports.
- Manage the software program IM League, coordinating games for 40 teams, recording scores, communicating with teams, registrations, setup, and cancellations documentation.
- Organize pre-game and post-game setup for all sports in Fall, Spring, and Summer seasons.
Maintenance
- Create field diagrams, measure dimensions, and paint lines weekly for each sport.
- Remove and install baseball nets, soccer goals, and sport paneling.
Administrative
- Coordinate all registration and travel for Intramural and extramural tournaments and manage teams during overnight tournaments representing CSU.
- Assist in minimizing risk and enforcing risk management protocols.
- Market and promote Intramural programs.
Personnel
- Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of Intramural officials and scorekeepers.
- Develop work schedules, training materials, facilitate student meetings, evaluations, and oversight of student employees.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Current CPR, FA and AED certification or ability to obtain in 30 days.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to train and officiate multiple sports and programs.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and facilitate programs.
- Ability to travel and oversee tournaments.
- Basic understanding of Rec management software systems Innosoft Fusion, Equest, and Cougar Scheduler.
- Ability to complete reports and assessments on all programs and services.
- Flexibility to work 3-4 evenings a week during the academic year and weekend shifts.
- Ability to lift 20-30 lb equipment.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License.
- Complete Van Training.
- Safety and risk management for travel.
