Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental hygiene care and patient education to maintain and improve oral health.
• Collaborate with doctors and hygiene team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Document patient medical history and screenings in the dental record.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current South Carolina dental hygienist license and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (as required).
• Excellent knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

Preferred Experience

• Any years of clinical experience.
• Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical records.
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills for preventative care and maintenance of patients’ dental health.
• Clinical needs as required by the office.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing; ability to lift/carry up to 45 pounds.
• Occasional virtual or in-person training sessions throughout the year.
• TB testing is required for all new hires in dental office positions (not applicable in FL & TN).
