Do you have a passion for helping people achieve their dreams of a growing family? Fertility Associates of Memphis (FAM), a leading fertility practice in the Memphis area, is seeking a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse.
Job Summary: To utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in an organized and compassionate manner as per the state Nursing Board scope of practice. To establish rapport and provide service to patients in a fashion that corresponds with the service philosophy. Responsible for the coordination of clinical activities pertaining to all procedures, including assessment, management, and coordination of patient care under the direction of physicians, monitoring and recording results of patients undergoing infertility evaluations, treatments, procedures, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner that aligns with the service management philosophy and demonstrates service excellence toward patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians, and other departments within the practice.
- Review medical records and assure appropriate data is entered into the patient’s EMR.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activity, including reviewing history and physicals, medications, initiation of routine orders, assisting physicians with exams, assembling and preparing supplies, taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy and injections, preparing daily reports for physicians, and maintaining ongoing communication with patients to provide emotional and information support.
- Coordinate infertility diagnostic tests and treatment plans with the patient under physician direction.
- Answer patient questions regarding cycles and calendar; follow up with patients after ultrasound scans.
- Ensure accountability for infertility/IVF patients daily, including ultrasounds, lab tests, physician orders, and related items.
- Communicate with patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and test results, in person or by telephone.
- Perform intrauterine inseminations, as directed if applicable.
- Perform follicular ultrasound scans, as directed if applicable.
- Administer IV medications for patients, if applicable.
- Administer RhoGam and Methotrexate, along with any SQ and/or IM injections, if applicable.
- Document all patient plans and interactions in EMR; place patient orders into EMR.
- Order medications for treatment and complete prior authorizations; ensure all consents are signed promptly.
- Ensure infectious disease testing is complete, accurate, and appropriate.
- Review and discuss all patient documents with physicians; educate patients on protocols and plans of care; provide information on prescribed medications and administration.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and assist in completing disability forms with MD for patients.
- Handle phone calls during assigned on-call shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interface with patients, physicians, and staff across departments.
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail under interruptions.
- Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email) and ability to learn and master EMR software.
- Maintain proficiency regarding job requirements as determined by annual competency assessments.
- Team-oriented, willing to perform assigned or delegated duties and assist others as needed.
- Support the organization’s vision and mission; maintain confidentiality of all work, clinic, and patient information.
- Identify problems and suggest solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of a certified nursing program; RN with a valid state license
- Current state registered nurse license without limitations
- Maintain continuing education credits required for renewal
- Valid BLS

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 2+ years of experience in women's health, fertility, OB/GYN
- 3+ years of nursing experience in other RN roles
