Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring shipment goals, business goals, customer requirements, and production plans are achieved. The production supervisor will be involved with production and maintenance planning to allow for plans and goals to be met. In this role, you will be working with a cross functional group to learn the totality of the business. Required work hours are 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular direction and leadership to a large workforce through effective communication.
• Maintain and operate a safe, reliable, cost-effective manufacturing operation to produce the required product volumes, with full regard for health, safety, and stakeholder concerns. Install, maintain, repairs, and troubleshoots all mechanical, hydraulic, electric equipment and instrumentation.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of operations information systems to monitor manufacturing efficiency.
• Coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers.

Team/Department

This position is part of the Operations Department located onsite in Cortland, NY and will be assigned to the overnight shift, once immersion is complete.

What you will have the opportunity to do

• Action plan, problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Metrics reporting and daily management.
• Lead a group of associates to achieve business and production goals.
• Oversee the direct manufacturing operations in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and timely delivery to external customers.

Essential job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2-5 years of work-related experience, an associate’s degree with 5 years of related work experience or 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• 2+ years of experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Detailed working knowledge of Excel.

Preferred experience

• Experience in a union environment.
• Experience with SAP and ADP eTime.
