Overview
The Housekeeping House Attendant sets the tone for Sonesta's mission by always going above and beyond for our guests. The role's primary responsibility is to maintain and clean guest room floors. The Housekeeping House Attendant is also responsible for maintaining housekeeping supply closets and storage rooms. The Housekeeping House Attendant shall provide attentive and courteous service to guests, assist guests with inquiries, and ensure their stay with Sonesta is filled with Amazing Moments. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality and providing exceptional guest service.
Position Details
- Position Title: Housekeeping House Attendant

- Reports To: Housekeeping Manager
- Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
- Pay Range: $19.00 to $19.50 per hour

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Clean and maintain assigned areas according to established Sonesta standards and procedures including; dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, sanitizing, removing trash, sweeping, mopping and polishing.
- Deliver clean linen and collect dirty linen from assigned areas.
- Prepare and deliver roll-a-way beds.
- Receive and store housekeeping supply inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms and storage closets.
- Respond to and fulfill guest requests.
- Provide support and assistance to Room Attendants.
- Notify supervisor on any damages, defects, needed maintenance repairs and disturbances.
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- Handle all lost and found items according to established procedures.
- Display professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all housekeeping procedures and company policies.
- Attend departmental pre-shift and mandatory meetings.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

Work Environment
Guest rooms, hotel corridors, and supply rooms with potential for guest facing contact. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Frequent bending, kneeling and reaching.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
Expected Hours of Work
- Must be flexible to work variable days of the week to include weekends and holidays.
- Must be flexible to work variable shifts (days, nights, overnights).
- Ten to twelve hour shifts sometimes required.
Education and Experience
Housekeeping experience in hotels preferred.
