Pay Information $2,398 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Labor and delivery experience of at least 2 years - Experience circulating C-sections Description: This is a travel RN position in Labor and Delivery. The unit consists of 26 beds and is staffed by 112 healthcare professionals. During the day shift, there are 1 charge nurse, 14 nurses, 2-3 surgical technicians, and 2 unit clerks. The patient ratios are 1:1 for high-risk labor and C-sections, 1:2 for antepartum and PPROM patients on magnesium, and 1:3 for postpartum patients on magnesium without babies. Common procedures performed include C-sections, inductions, artificial rupture of membranes, intrauterine pressure catheter placements, and fetal monitoring. We utilize Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, telemetry equipment, and a specific electronic medical record system. The ideal candidate should be hardworking and flexible. The unit has a strong focus on teamwork and support among nurses. Self-scheduling is available to enhance staff satisfaction. Leadership is supportive, with the ability to work the floor as needed. The unit has experienced nurses, with many having 20-40 years of experience.
