Job Summary
The
Safety Manager
will oversee workplace safety practices, ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, conduct safety training, and lead incident investigations to continuously improve workplace safety. The position's goal is to reduce workplace hazards, promote a culture of health and safety, and support legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute health and safety plans according to legal guidelines.
Prepare and enforce policies to establish a safe and healthy workplace culture.
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits of practices, procedures, and facilities.
Oversee and manage company Field Safety Technicians.
Lead safety training and sessions for employees.
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations by inspecting staff, equipment, and work areas.
Investigate incidents, document workplace accidents, and recommend corrective actions.
Analyze incident reports and safety metrics to identify emerging trends and suggest improvements.
Advise management on safety issues, standards updates, and compliance strategies.
Client safety prequalification.
Maintain online 3rd-party contractor management platform, submitting health, safety, quality, risk, and regulatory information as requested by Hiring Clients that meet their qualification requirements. Such as AVETTA, ISNetworld,
and other platforms.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field .
Professional certification (e.g., OSHA, CSP, CSM) is highly desirable.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in safety management or related field.
Critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Attention to detail and strong observation abilities.
Up-to-date knowledge of state, federal, and local safety regulations.
Experience with data analysis and risk assessment is an asset.

Implementation of vehicle inspection protocols, DOT compliance, driver safety programs, and accident investigation.
Fleet-specific best practices, including PPE requirements and behavioral safety observations.
