Description
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Clinical Supervisor works as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes other members of the Management Team. The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight, clinical hours toward licensure, and supervision to all members of the treatment team, including master's, bachelor's, and paraprofessionals in both the Telehealth and ISM Programs. The Clinical Supervisor must meet or exceed their respective licensing Board's requirements to supervise staff collecting hours and provide some clinical coverage after-hours (24/7) to the ISM team. This position is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days in the office (Leimert Park Site and White Memorial Hospital).
The Clinical Supervisor also oversees services to ensure timely completion of documentation, program outcome measures, ensure staff meet their direct service expectation, complete staff evaluations, and other program-related tasks with the goal of providing quality services. This position requires a great deal of tact and judgment as it requires ongoing interactions with medical staff, the Department of Mental Health, Department of Child and Family Services, Probation, and other stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide individual and group supervision to all members on their respective treatment team; anticipated to be 10 providers Ensure supervisees meet role expectations of providing great clinical care, timely submission of clinical documentation, and meet their role-based service delivery requirements Oversee and co-sign clinical documentation for supervisees in a timely manner Maintain an open-door management style Serve as a member of the management team Be comfortable with the use of electronics and multiple electronic-based systems Provide 24/7 crisis phone coverage to the ISM Team Participate in trainings and meetings as assigned Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with medical providers and other community partners as needed to review existing caseloads; discuss client treatment plans; and provide linkage to other services as needed. Conduct outreach and promote Peer-Based Enhanced Services, Linkage and Advocacy (PESLA) to clients as an integral component of ISM services at the initial service planning meeting and throughout treatment services to reduce mental health stigma, develop life skills, encourage natural support systems and offer hands-on linkage to needed services, including benefits establishment. Other duties as required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university. A minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure experience is required. Must meet all BBS or appropriate licensing board requirements to provide clinical hours that qualify towards licensure. Spanish-speaking preferred. This position also requires being on call along with the other members of the management team. Strong organizational, written, communication and teamwork skills are a must. Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor while handling multiple tasks without losing productivity. Management experience and experience providing mental health services in a community setting are a plus but not required. Demonstrate ability to tolerate change and learn multiple countywide systems is a plus. The candidate must be proficient in the use of technology, including experience with an Electronic Health Record, Word, and Excel. A valid California driver's license and insurable driving record of at least 2 years are required. This position travels, so use of personal vehicle is a must. The successful applicant will also complete TB and fingerprint clearance.
All Clinical Supervisors will include the following required credentials
License with CA Board or Psychology or California Board of Behavioral Sciences Have held an active license as one of the above in California or any other state for at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision. Must complete a minimum of 15 hours of supervision training or coursework within 60 days of the commencement of supervision. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employee may be asked to participate in cross-training programs or pursue additional education or training when it is determined to be in the best interest of the agency by a member of management. Must have knowledge of community resources. Employee must have the ability to use a personal vehicle with the required insurance coverage to complete the essential duties of their job and conduct agency business. Employee must maintain a valid California driver's license and clean driving record that meets Wellnest's insurance carrier's criteria for liability coverage.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employee may need to work out in the field, in a variety of environments. Employee may be required to work flexible, evening, and/or weekend hours.
