Spectra Tech, Inc. is immediately hiring for a Structural Design Engineer (Level 2-5) in Oak Ridge, TN
Position Overview
Provide CNS Mission Engineering with full-time structural engineering support for facility and production area activities in Cat 2, Cat 3/Non-Nuclear, Balance of Plant facilities, and Backbone Infrastructure Utilities. Key Responsibilities
Provide design output documentation to support minor facility modifications. Typical deliverables include:
Drawings Engineering instructions Data sheets Equipment specifications Equivalency evaluations Calculations
Develop designs in accordance with
ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1)
and address CSA-related issues for non-reactor nuclear facilities, natural phenomena events, structural rehabilitation, and building evaluations. Ensure compliance with consensus design codes. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and plant organizations to deliver timely design output. Work in NRC or DOE regulated environments; understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance is desirable. Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an
ABET-accredited school . Minimum of 5 years' experience: Level 2:
BS, 5-9 years Level 3:
BS, 10-14 years Level 4:
BS, 15-20 years Level 5:
BS, 20+ years Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface effectively with clients, production/support organizations, management, and hourly employees. Must be willing to work in a production environment
