Overview

The Beautiful Embassy Suites Lombard is seeking a part-time motivated Night Auditor. The purpose of the Night Auditor is to audit all accounts to ensure they are in balance, and prepare final reports for management; acts as the third shift Front Desk Agent ensuring maximum room revenues and guest satisfaction, in line with AURO Hotels’ standards. The hourly wage is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Directly or indirectly supervise associates and/or supervisors; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, possessing solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to guests at all times; represent AURO Hotels professionally with guests and ensure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
  • Apply property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment for associates and guests; in the event of an accident or emergency, obtain medical attention if necessary and contact the GM or Human Resources immediately.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company associates to foster a positive working environment.
  • Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Register and process guests promptly upon arrival and departure to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Verify that all charges to guest accounts made during the day are correct, and post room charges for that day so that guest accounts are current and in balance by 6:00 a.m. the following morning or by the Brand Standard’s designated time.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel and the local area; effectively assist guests.
  • Complete all credit card transmittals, direct bills, and no-show billings for the day.
  • Prepare all daily, monthly and yearly reports required by the property.
  • Demonstrate the use of sales techniques to effectively sell the property, maximizing occupancy and average rate.
  • Receive and process telephone and walk-in reservations accurately ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Operate the telephone system professionally and competence according to AURO Hotels and Brand standards.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance for prompt corrective action.
  • Responsible for check-in, checkout, selling skills, computer operation, telephones, and front desk tasks.
  • Comply with Company Standards of Service as outlined for AURO Hotels.
  • Project a favorable image of AURO Hotels to the public at all times.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Treat guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Complete Departmental, AURO Hotels and Brand standards training as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Education/Experience

College degree preferred; High School Diploma and/or 2-3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
