Description
Physical Therapist Assistant – Full TimePay Range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour (based on experience)

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver skilled therapy interventions in our 5-star skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.

What You’ll Do:
Provide physical therapy interventions as ordered by the referring physician under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Communicate patient progress or challenges to the supervising therapist to update goals and adjust care plans as needed
Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner, in compliance with state laws and under co-signature of the supervising therapist
Carry out therapy sessions focused on areas such as:
Range of Motion and joint mobility
Pain management and muscle strengthening
Posture, balance, body mechanics, and gait/ambulation activities
Cardiovascular endurance
Patient and family education
Implementation of individualized home exercise programs

Qualifications
Licensed and registered in New York State as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with therapy staff, patients, and families
Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to provide high-quality care
