Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
to support a growing rehabilitation team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver hands-on care and collaborate with physical therapists in providing high-quality therapy services to patients, including frail and elderly populations, in a supportive and patient-centered environment.
Position Summary
The
Physical Therapy Assistant
will assist in the implementation of individualized care plans developed by supervising Physical Therapists. The role involves direct patient care, treatment documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient education. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about improving mobility, function, and overall quality of life for patients.
Core Responsibilities Administer patient treatment programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength assessments. Coordinate with other rehabilitation team members to implement individualized activities and programs. Manage scheduling of treatments, clinical visits, and billing tasks. Deliver and document physical therapy interventions including active and passive exercise, gait training, ADL (activities of daily living) training, massage, and modalities such as heat, water, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation. Participate in end-of-life care coordination and provide supportive care. Skills & Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Valid PTA license (or proof of eligibility) in the practicing state. Foreign-earned PTA degrees must be evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. PTA degree. Preferred:
2 years of PTA experience in a clinical setting with frail or elderly populations. Strong interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills. Compensation & Benefits
