Description Leidos' Airborne Solutions Business Area (ASBA) is on the lookout for a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead and expand our airborne manned and unmanned programs for the United States Navy. This role will involve actively identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, overseeing program captures, crafting proposals, and strategic planning. You'll collaborate with ASBA and senior Leidos leadership to implement effective program strategies and business plans, conduct program reviews, and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers. The ideal candidate is a business development professional with a robust background in the Defense Industry, particularly with experience in full life cycle programs (programs of record experience preferred). Your primary focus will be airborne systems development, sustainment, and operations. Key Responsibilities: Establish and implement comprehensive organizational strategic plans. Identify and assess new business opportunities. Collaborate with management and technical teams to create programmatic and technological differentiators for successful captures. Work alongside the ASBA team to formulate and execute capture plans throughout the business development process. Identify and participate in marketing events such as trade shows to support capture objectives. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience. Additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree. Active TS Clearance is a must. Extensive experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) business development, particularly concerning manned and unmanned aerial programs. Demonstrated experience in capture and proposal management for aviation programs valued at $50M or more. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Connections and experience within the manned and unmanned aerial systems domain. Business development experience with the DoD and International Partner Nations. Formal training in capture and proposal writing is highly desirable. Experience in developing and managing marketing and proposal budgets. Comfortable interacting at all organizational levels, including with executives and CEOs. Knowledge in program management, program planning, execution, and systems engineering. Pay Range: Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00 The pay range for this job level serves as a general guideline and may be adjusted based on several factors including job responsibilities, education, experience, and skills. Additional considerations include internal equity, market alignment, and other applicable laws.
