Description
Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Washington, DC - Onsite Terms: Full-time Clearance: Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance required (U.S. Citizenship required) Travel: Minimal;
Plan, design, develop, and execute software configuration management tasks, including building software deliverables from source code control. Write and maintain scripts to automate build and monitoring processes. Develop and optimize efficient, high-quality build scripts while adhering to product release timelines. Follow the software development life cycle (SDLC) for analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing. Support production environments by executing thorough deployments. Participate in Deployment Plans for scheduled or emergency releases of supported applications. Provide accurate estimates and deliver work on schedule. Monitor applications and operational processes within internal and production environments. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers regarding deployment and operational activities. Contribute to the development and implementation of team and organizational process improvements. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering or software configuration management. U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance. Hands-on experience with build automation, scripting, and software deployment. Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., Git, Subversion). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions, or equivalent. Experience supporting Department of Commerce, NTIA, or other federal civilian agencies. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible). Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. Design and operate Azure DevOps architecture Implement automation for deployments, cloud infrastructure, and configuration management. Collaborate with developers to ensure secure hybrid cloud CI/CD pipelines. Support platform deployments and integration into enterprise workflows. Salary
Up to $145,000 depending on experience.
