Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely manner.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle, monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to locations where needed.
• Observe and report suspicious activities or behavior.
• Report and document all accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety/fire hazards and other security-related situations.
• Investigate security breaches and conduct follow-up investigations.

As our Security Officer at CHI St Vincent, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors. You may guard facility and unit access points, monitor surveillance cameras, test new security technology, and protect all employees/visitors against acts of violence. You should remain calm, act based on the situation and known facts, and respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED Required
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service; OR
• One (1) year experience as a security officer required.
• Current Arkansas Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment

Pay Range

$16.30 - $19.65 /hour
