is seeking a

Foreclosure/Litigation Paralegal

for our

Frederick, Maryland

office location. The employee will be responsible for drafting legal pleadings and electronic filing as well as coordinating foreclosure activities and processes with attorneys and other departments within the Firm as necessary. Strong writing skills preferred. Will train the right candidate. Prior foreclosure or paralegal experience a plus.

Requirements

Draft Legal Pleadings as requested; Track and manage litigation files Maintain an assigned a portfolio of loans that are in foreclosure to ensure that the loans are properly and timely processed Able to properly document the case management system with the progress and/or current status of the file Ability to pinpoint files that are not moving forward fast enough and accurately communicate what is needed in order to proceed Ensure adherence to client, state, and federal requirements Ability to enter and verify that the correct data is in the case management system Accurately draft foreclosure documents for attorney review, i.e. debt affidavits, payoffs, and reinstatement quotes Calendar regular follow-up requests for outstanding items Accountable for assigned daily workload and work in advance of upcoming deadlines Responsible for special projects and reporting required by clients Comfortable with handling incoming calls from borrowers in default Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and tasks requiring detail, concentration, and accuracy; Place outbound calls to the Clerk of Court, Register of Deeds, Sheriff Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent professional communication skills. Position requires interaction with all interoffice personnel, managers and attorneys as well as the clients and outside vendors. Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word Well organized, effective time management, prioritize and allocate workload for optimum efficiency Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality Strong work and business ethics; Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a Team Player Effective problem solving skills Attention to detail

Salary Description

$45,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience
