Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to on-line shopping. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
  • In-Store Grocery Shopper: initiate and complete the selection process for customers' on-line orders.
  • Online Grocery Pick-Up team: assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick up.
  • Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
  • Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up.
  • Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
  • Receive orders from Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones, and ensure order accuracy before loading to customers' cars.
  • Follow directions and resolve customer and business issues with honesty and integrity.
  • Provide positive customer service to encourage online shopping.
  • Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system and determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment; report discrepancies and items in need of repair.
  • Assist in training new e-Commerce team members and meet productivity standards.
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflicts professionally.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to read shelf tags
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience:

  • Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
