Your Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations, recommend diagnostic procedures, and create tailored care plans Diagnose and treat chronic, acute, or episodic illnesses collaboratively or independently, depending on your credentials Educate patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and the management of various health issues Prescribe necessary medications and therapies within the legal scope Engage in ongoing patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide cohesive care Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialization Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the ability to secure these within 90 days Skills That Make You Shine
