Job Description:
Functions as a clinical faculty member of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine reporting directly to the Specialty Service Director in Clinical Pathology with the following responsibilities:
Clinical, Educational, and Academic Duties (100%):
Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new molecular diagnostic tests.
Monitor post-implementation clinical performance of new test offerings.
Serve as liaison and consultant for the laboratory and the clinical services.
Attend and present at clinical rounds and education sessions related to Clinical Pathology.
Provide educational lectures to residents and fellows, as requested.
Perform all duties in compliance with the Departments quality assurance guidelines
Participate in academic projects sponsored by subspecialty heads
Provide support for residents on service
Working Environment:
The work is mainly performed in a hospital environment and excellent citizenship and professionalism is expected.
