About The Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist specializing in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This assignment begins on Dec 1, 2025, featuring day shifts Monday through Friday, with a rotating night and weekend call schedule. Candidates must have current ACLS and DEA certifications, be VAD certified, and have completed an AHF fellowship with LVAD experience.


Job Details

  • Location: Virginia
  • Start Date: Dec 1, 2025
  • LOA: 60 days
  • Provider Type Needed: Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist
  • Schedule: Day shifts, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts; night and weekend call on a 1:6 rotating basis


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform non-invasive cardiology duties
  • Interpret and manage EKGs
  • Provide advanced heart failure care, including management of ventricular assist device (VAD) patients
  • Support the ongoing recruitment of a permanent physician
  • Collaborate with a second physician during the assignment


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and DEA certification required
  • VAD certification and AHF fellowship with LVAD experience required
  • Must be licensed to practice in Virginia
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
